  11/02 – Sarah, 9:

"I don't want to talk about the World Trade Center and I don't want to think about it because it makes me think it could happen again."





  2/3/03 – Leo, 5, building the Twin Towers out of clay:

"Ahhh, it's an airplane, it ch="hed into the Twin Towers. Oh no, all the people died."

 





  3/17/03 – Allen, 5, playing with blocks, two days before war was declared on Iraq:

"The trucks are for searching for bad guys... when a big mean guy comes they hide in their houses. The airplane is to find helicopters that are bad guys and, and planes that are bad guys. The bad guys want to, like, kill some babies. They come from, the bad guys are devils."





  3/26/03 – Evan, 4, and Joshua, 5, describing their painting, shortly after war was declared on Iraq:

Evan: "It's a fire, it can burn you up."

Joshua: "No, it's a fire that burns buildings, it burnt up many buildings. It's so strong it can burn water."

Evan: "No! It's chemicals. It burns everything. It makes fire worser."

"I remember when I saw the plane ch="h into the World Trade Center. Like, hundreds of times."
